Risk assessment table

Risk assessments are very important as they form an integral part of a good health and safety management plan. They help to create the awareness of the possible hazards and risks and identify who may be at risk (e.g. employees, contractors, public citizens etc). A risk assessment table helps diminish and evaluate potential risks before we start filming. One of the main factors of a risk assessment is to put something in place to minimise the hazard/risk.

Hazard
People at risk
Risk control in place
Risk assessment (LOW. MODERATE, HIGH)
Harm from sharp objects
Actors
Avoid any contact with sharp objects by filming or entering buildings differently.
Moderate
Being hit by vehicles/busy roads
Actors and cameraman
When crossing roads or filming in busy locations, we will be cautious of fast vehicles and signs that may warn us.
Moderate
Other people around us
Actors and cameraman
Be aware of the people surrounding us in particularly rough areas. Making sure we protect our camera gear
Low

Actors and cameraman
Watch out for trip hazards and camera cables. Make sure cables are tucked away.
